Public Improvement – Town of Austerlitz

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Austerlitz invites sealed bids for the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment necessary for a number of separate improvements (the “Work”) to a building located at 816 County Route 203, Spencertown, New York 12165 for use as a New Town Hall. The bids requested include those for     data wiring, telephone wiring, smoke detection system, video intercom, security cameras, panic alarms, and public address and assistive listening system for the courtroom. The Work for each includes providing all labor at prevailing wage rates, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the Work shown on the Drawings and described in the Project Manual for Multiple Prime Contracts.  The Work is to commence in the spring of 2018, to be completed by mid-summer of 2018. Bids are due Friday, March 2, 2018 by 9:00 am at the Austerlitz Town Hall. Bids will be opened and read by a designated Town official on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 9:05 am.

Bid Documents are available for examination at the Town of Austerlitz Town Hall located at 812 Route 203, Spencertown, NY 12165, during the Town Clerk’s regular office hours, and at the office of the Architectural Bureau located at 29 Main Street – Suite 3A, Chatham, NY 12037, weekdays, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Bid Documents are available for purchase in different formats. The Town of Austerlitz reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive conditional bids.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Austerlitz is inviting Sealed Bids for the following Materials to be delivered to the Town Hall at 812 Route 203, Spencertown, NY 12165 and Highway Garage at 714 Route 203, Spencertown, NY 12165 and other sites throughout the Town;

  1. Crushed Stone Products, Gravel, Bituminous Asphalt, Asphalt Emulsions, Calcium, Culvert Pipe and Geotextile Fabrics.
  2. Bidders may submit bids for any one or all items. Bidders must be qualified suppliers and have sufficient stock on hand for emergencies.

All prices shall be firm for the year. The contract period for the furnishing of materials and services shall be from April 20, 2018 until April 18, 2019.

Delivery of materials and service contract work shall be during normal business hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday. Delivery of materials shall be within 72 hours of notice. Any materials rejected by the Town shall be replaced within 48 hours by the bidder at no additional cost to the Town.

An award does not guarantee the purchase of any specific amount of material. The Town reserves the right to purchase from the County or State contracts if it is in the Town’s best interest.

Bids must be submitted on the attached “Bid Proposal Form(s)” and in a Sealed Envelope that is clearly marked with the bidders name, place of business, and item(s) bid. Faxed or electronically transmitted bids will NOT be accepted.

Bids are to be in the Town Clerks Office by March 15, 2018 at 9:15 am. They will then be opened and read aloud. Bids will be awarded within a reasonable amount of time thereafter.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids. NON-COLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATES MUST ACCOMPANY ALL BIDS.
