 PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Austerlitz, Columbia County, New York, is soliciting sealed bids for the furnishing of Lawn Cutting and Ground Maintenance for Town properties. Bids must be sealed and be received by mail or delivery to the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, PO Box 238, 816 Route 203, Spencertown, New York, 12165 no later than 9:00 am on April 14, 2021, when they will be opened and read aloud. Bids will be awarded within a reasonable amount of time thereafter. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Non-collusive bidding certificates must accompany all bids. Bid Specifications for Grounds Maintenance

1.) Lawn Care and Trimming from Spring through Fall to include:
a.) the Town Park and ball-field
b.) the Town Green across from St. Peter’s Church
c.) the area around the Town Hall
d.) the area around the new Town Hall
to include leach field area

Price per mowing:

2.) Ground Maintenance from Spring through Fall to include:
a.) Spring, Fall and periodic clean-up throughout the term of contract
to include removal of ground debris, damage caused by storms and bee
or wasp extermination as needed.
Price per hour:


b.) maintenance of perennial bed on green including
mulching, edging, fertilizing,tree trimming,
trimming of hedges, weeding as needed

c.) cost of materials (mulch, etc.) by volume

3.) Trash and broken glass removal and disposal thereof, twice
a week, from the Town park, recreation area and ball field.
Trash is to be disposed of in the Town dumpster.

4.) Bidder shall submit a monthly bill by voucher at least 10 days before the regular Town Board meeting
detailing all services performed and the dates that such services were performed.

5.) Bidder shall provide Town with a current certificate of insurance coverage with bid. Coverage will

as an additional insured.

6.) Bidder will provide current proof of Workman’s Compensation Insurance and shall pay employees
prevailing wages if so required by law.
